It seems there's no end to where the Hello Kitty logo will appear, from t-shirts to aeroplanes, towels to toasters. Now the Japanese brand is appearing on melons in its home country, with the logo design etched into the melon's outer skin before harvesting.
Since first appearing in 1974, the now-global kitten has become a worldwide sensation. Previously we have seen Hello Kitty appear on steak and also on doughnuts, making this not the first foray into edible goods for the brand that is now worth over £5.4 billion.
