Acclaimed Chef Opens New Indian Restaurant in Harrods

Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia has recently launched Kama by Vineet, a 26-seater Indian restaurant at London's luxury department store, Harrods - the store's first Indian restaurant in it's 180 year history.

Kama by Vineet is Bhatia's first project in the U.K. since closing his Chelsea restaurant VBL just one week after being awarded its first Michelin star.

The spot is part of a new in-store culinary destination, two years in the making, with a new dining hall taking the place of the former meat and fish hall opening after a three-month closure. Bhatia's restaurant will serve regional Indian dishes including thali plates and a selection of curries.

Also located in the hall is a fish bar, meat grill, pasta bar, sushi bar as well as a new central wine bar. "The new Dining Hall is a dynamic, live experience celebrating the exceptional level of talent and service our team of 150-in house chefs and servers deliver daily to our discerning customers," executive chef at Harrods Andy Cook told the Evening Standard.
