London's acclaimed produce supplier Natoora is set to open its first cafe, coming to Portobello Road, Notting Hill. Currently supplying premium seasonal fruit and vegetables to many of the capitals top chefs and restaurants, Natoora's new cafe location is set to offer "radically seasonal and totally traceable menu. Everything will be made from scratch, using ingredients sourced straight from people we know through our own supply chain."
In our recent categorywatching report on fruit and vegetables, we covered the public interest in wanting to know more about the origins of their foods and the want to see simple, honest messaging with produce. Fresh produce us no different with named farms, heritage varieties and eating around the seasons really resonating with consumers. It's all about unique fruit and vegetables with a back story as we move away from perfect, uniform social media images and mass-produced food.
