New Alex Woo design supports Haagen Dazs Loves Honey Bees program

In conjunction with Platinum Guild International USA (PGI-USA) jewellery designer Alex Woo is pleased to announce the launch of her newest Little Activist Icon, a platinum beehive and honeybee pendant. Renowned for her signature fine jewellery collections and charitable efforts, Woo collaborated with two-time EMMY® Award winning costume designer Lyn Paolo to design this platinum piece that will support the Haagen Dazs® Loves Honey Bees program. This marks Woo's first venture in platinum and is a limited edition design for 2015.

PGI-USA's partnership with Lyn Paolo, a personal lover of platinum jewelry, introduced her to a variety of jewellery designers, including Woo. The two discovered a shared passion for saving the honeybees, which generated the idea for this Little Activist Icon. Designed in platinum to capture the everlasting dedication to the cause, the Icon is accented with fancy vivid yellow diamonds and hangs from a diamond cut platinum chain and retails for $1898. The pendant is currently being sold at and proceeds will go to the Haagen Dazs® loves Honeybees program.

Of the collaboration, Paolo says, "Being an avid gardener and loving nature as I do, it is a natural link for me to also love bees. I think the partnership to raise monies for our wonderful tiny friends is an organic one and it was such a pleasure to work with Alex on this amazing project. Making it in platinum makes it a special keepsake."

"All my designs are symbolic so it was such a pleasant surprise that Lyn and I both shared the same interest in helping save the Honeybees," says Woo. "This became our inspiration for our Little Activist Beehive. My fine jewelry collection is classic, personal, and wearable everyday, so it was exciting to be creating this new pendant in platinum, as it still captures the essence of all my trademark Little Icons, but in a luxurious new way."

To kick off the launch, Poshly Giveaways by PEOPLE is offering one lucky reader the chance to win one of the pendants. Users can enter at
