Asia has seen its first vertically integrated vegetarian fast food concept open this month with the Hong Kong based WOW Burger in central HK.
Hong Kong has been at the forefront of Asia's shift to plant-based availability over the past few years and the emergence of the WOW Burger chain's new opening, a brand that set out to deliver on the fast food burger experience without sacrificing taste or quality in its plant-based alternatives.
Menu options at the new restaurant range from the flagship WOW Cheeseburger, the Wow Chick'n, plus the fiery WOW Spicy Chick'n burger. There's also the Wow Truffle Burger which features a blend of Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, rocket and house truffle sauce.
The WOW Burger website describes the concept, saying: Our patties are packed with top-notch plant proteins that hit all the right spots for a juicy, flavor-packed bite. Trust us, you won't miss the meat. No need for labels here, it's just a damn good burger.
