Fast-growing Australian high-street doughnut chain Doughnut Time is set to open its first UK store in Shaftesbury Avenue this October.
The new location will mark the chain's first opening outside of Australia since its creation in 2015, in Brisbane. The opening in the capital is part of a planned expansion in London. To celebrate, the menu will feature two new retro British additions, with 'Love Actually' and 'Shawty, its Sherbet Day' sitting alongside proven favourites such as the Nutella-filled 'Love At First Bite', and the watermelon-flavoured 'Melon DeGeneres'.
Prices will start from £4 with doughnuts available individually or in boxes or four or six. Vegan and Gluten-Free options will also be available.
Originally starting as a hole-in-the-wall shop in 2015, Doughnut Time has grown rapidly to having more than 20 locations across Australia. Despite the rapid expansion, Doughnut Time says its recipe for success remains the same: "Locally-sourced ingredients used to make, glaze and fill our artisan product by hand, free of trans-fat, few preservatives and delivered to our stores every few hours to ensure the highest quality product."
