Australia's Hospitality Industry Raises Money For Bushfire Victims

Though we have entered a new decade, out of control bushfires are still inflicting immense damage upon Australia's wildlife and people, with support now on a global scale to help raise money to support all those affected by this environmental disaster.

The nation's hospitality industry has united and is offering a myriad of ways in which customers can help donate to the various causes now desperately seeking support, whether rescuing injured wildlife or making temporary accommodation less stressful for those now homeless.

Many renowned restaurants and chefs have already hosted special events or dinners to support the charities; these include Sydney's Porteño, Melbourne's ATTICA and Duncan Welgemoed of Africola.

A whole host of chefs are collaborating at the The Bar Bushfire Shake Up at Melbourne's The Everleigh to create a range of unique pizzas that will be available for $10 each on the night.

Bondi's Isabel shall donate all profits and tips to wildlife charity WIRES for the next two weeks, Latorre & Dutch Coffee are donating 10% of all purchases to various charities and Geelong's Furphy beer is donating $1 for every schooner and $2 for every pint Furphy sold in Victoria, New South Wales, Wester Australia & South Australia, as well as each XXXX Gold sold in Queensland to the National Bushfire Disaster Appeal.

Plenty more are doing their bit to help support those fighting the fires, saving wildlife and caring for those displaced during this nightmare; there has never been a better reason for a little treat or extra drink if it means supporting the various charities however best you can.
