Award-Winning Pastry Chef Anna Polyviou To Open First Shop in Australia

The highly acclaimed pastry and dessert chef Anna Polyviou has announced the opening of her first store, in Marrickville, Australia, with the venue said to be opening around Easter time this spring.

"YES I am opening my first FIRST SHOP... and what better location than Marrickville. It's forever been a dream of mine & my teams to be around such an amazing community," Polyviou wrote on her Instagram page. To date information on the new location is limited to what she's shared on her own social media channels but if her pedigree is anything to go by it's sure to be an exciting new opening.

With her Rockstar flair and rebellious edge, Anna Polyviou makes sweet dreams come alive. A powerhouse pastry chef, cookbook author and television personality, Anna has serious culinary cred – creating jaw-dropping sweet creations in luxury hotels, on television, and for top brands.

Having spent time working in a number of the world's leading kitchens, including Pierre Herme Patisserie in Paris, London's Claridge's Hotel and the Sofitel Melbourne, Anna really then put the hotel patisserie on the map in her 7.5 year tenure as Creative Director of Pastry at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. Now the creative director of her own business, Anna lends her pastry genius to top brands in unique sweet collaborations and now is moving into the direct to consumer space too with her new Marrickville opening.
