Brixton's The Ritzy Cinema Becomes First Cinema To Host a Vegan Restaurant

The Ritzy cinema in Brixton, London, has welcomed a new vegan restaurant called En Root, the first vegan eatery to open in a UK cinema. The new En Root location is the third from the brand in London now after venues in Clapham and Peckham too.

En Root, founded by South London cousins Nish Modasia and Harshil Modasia, features an Indian fusion menu inspired by their roots. En Root celebrates fresh seasonal vegetables, wholesome pulses and aromatic Gujarati spices to deliver a unique, internationally influenced menu.

The plant-based dishes on the menu include a popular thali-style Don Dada Tasting Platter featuring a range of the dishes, Masala Mogo - a Kenyan twist on Cassava chips, Pani Puri served with Date Tamarind Masala Water, as well as a range of cinema-style snack plates including Poppanachos - a poppadom base snack topped with Dhal, Pickled Cabbage, Avocado, Raita and Spice Krispies.
