Today, 24th August, is a day for burger fans to rejoice ... it's National Burger Day! To celebrate one of the nation's favourite barbecue and fast food treads, we take a look at what's new and what's still trending, bun or no bun.
The burger trend fits into four of thefoodpeople's Food & Drink Trends for 2017-18: Revamping the Run-Of-The-Mill; Health is the New Wealth; Once Upon a Time; Soothing Comforts. Some of the usual suspects still frequently adorning menus include veggie & vegan, meat alternatives, gourmet of today, bun alternatives, and small is beautiful.
