Cheetos, Hash Browns & Lots to Chew On

Cheetos Gets Spooky

Cheetos is getting into the Halloween spirit with a seriously spooky new snack: Sweet Phantom Heat Puffs.

Designed to deliver not just one, but four different sensations, the puffs take your taste buds on a rollercoaster of heat, tingling, numbing and fizzing as you work your way through the bag. It's certainly a departure from your average cheesy puff, and one that promises to keep snackers guessing bite after bite. With the sensations building as you eat, these fiery little morsels could be more trick than treat - although adventurous snack fans may find themselves under their spell.

Cheetos is clearly getting its claws into the Halloween snack aisle.

Haribo Goes Choco-Crazy

Two big names in the world of treats are joining forces, with Haribo and Ritter Sport teaming up on a chocolate bar packed with Haribo confectionery.

The collaboration brings chewy sweets and creamy chocolate together in what is, depending on your sweet tooth, either a match made in heaven or a sensory adventure too far. Some shoppers have already branded the combination a "sensory nightmare", but there's no denying that it's an unusual twist on the classic chocolate bar.

Haribo and Ritter Sport have certainly put the fun into the confectionery aisle - and this partnership is bound to get people chewing the fat.

Hash Brown Bites Back

Good things come in small packages, and McDonald's UK is proving the point by bringing back its cult-favourite mini hash browns.

The bite-sized breakfast favourites, which were axed in 2024, are making a comeback after fans made their feelings very crispy and clear. Their return will be welcome news for anyone who believes a single hash brown is never quite enough - because why settle for one when you can have a miniature mountain of potato goodness?

It seems McDonald's has decided to give breakfast lovers something to get gratefully grated about, proving that sometimes you really can't keep a good hash brown down.

Greggs Brings Back a Bake

Greggs is giving its autumn menu a hearty refresh, with the much-loved Steak & Stilton Steak Bake returning after seven years away.

The comeback is likely to have plenty of fans feeling rather well-done about the news, particularly those who have spent years pining for the rich combination of steak, stilton and flaky pastry. Joining the returning favourite are a Buffalo Chicken Baguette, Chicken & Pepperoni Pizza Toastie and an Iced Caramel Chocolate, giving the new menu plenty of variety as the weather starts to turn.

With comfort food firmly on the agenda, Greggs looks set to have autumn wrapped up - and we're certainly not going to pastry judgement.

Chick-fil-A Gets Waffly

Chick-fil-A is taking the chicken-and-waffles combination to sandwich territory, launching its new Chicken & Waffles Sandwich nationwide in the US.

The idea combines the sweet and savoury appeal of the classic pairing in a format designed to be considerably easier to eat on the go - because apparently there was a gap in the market for chicken and waffles you can hold in one hand. It's a bold move, but one that makes plenty of sense for fans of the sweet-meets-savoury combo.

Whether it becomes a breakfast blockbuster or simply leaves diners waffle-ing between bites remains to be seen, but Chick-fil-A certainly isn't chickening out when it comes to putting a new spin on a classic.
