Cuisson Pop Up Afternoon Tea

This April luxury bespoke dining company Cuisson in association with Laurent-Perrier will be bringing their latest gastronomic event to the famous Burlington Arcade with a one-of-a-kind pop-up afternoon tea. Taking place from Wednesday 8th April 2015 – Friday 26th June 2015, Cuisson will be offering a modern interpretation on afternoon tea and turning this classic British custom on its head for an exceptional and memorable dining experience.

Combining cutting edge food with a truly unique and historical setting, the pop up will be ground breaking, inventive and breathtakingly beautiful, giving afternoon tea an entirely contemporary makeover. With pastry chef Hideko Kawa (previously at The Fat Duck) carefully crafting the afternoon tea menu alongside Cuisson, the pop up will be an un- missable chance to taste the creations of a handful of the UK's most talented and pioneering chefs.

Before developing desserts across Heston Blumenthal outlets as Head pastry chef at The Fat Duck, Hideko trained at Le Cordon Bleu cookery school, beginning her career at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay before moving to The Connaught to hone her pastry skills under Helene Darroze. Meanwhile, since launching in 2012, Cuisson has been gathering a band of chefs from Michelin-starred kitchens and bringing them together to create pop ups, one off-events and cater for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Aston martin.

The afternoon tea menu will be paired with the iconic Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, perfect for the spring months with its fresh, red berry flavours and adding an extra dose of playful luxury and decadence to the event.

For the duration of the pop up, Cuisson are taking over a former jewellery shop inside The Burlington Arcade and transforming the area into a decadent space, where even the previous shop's jewellery cases will be used as cake displays. The afternoon tea itself will be served on exquisitely deigned fine bone china tea-ware from Wedgwood.
