Dairy free creamer, nutpods launches in Seattle

Home-grown US food producer, Green Grass Foods Inc. has chosen Seattle for its limited test market launch of nutpods, a dairy-free creamer made from almonds and coconuts. The product, in 300ml Tetra Paks, will be on shelves in 10 PCC markets in the Seattle area in mid-May.

Since its Kickstarter campaign was launched in October 2013, Green Grass Foods, Inc. has had a small army of fans eager to try nutpods (http://nutpods.com), the Non-GMO Project Verified unsweetened, dairy-free creamer made from a smooth and creamy combination of almonds and coconuts. Now the time has finally come for Seattle to create their perfect cup of coffee: nutpods will launch in a limited test market of all 10 PCC Natural Markets in the Puget Sound area next month before looking to expand into the Southern California market depending on the success of this initial launch.

"Seattle was the natural choice," says Green Grass Foods, Inc. founder and CEO, Madeline Haydon, who hails from the Emerald City. "Our goal with nutpods was always to give people the ability to craft the perfect cup of coffee. Where better to do that than in the coffee capital of the world, where the high quality of the coffee complements the quality of our ingredients?"

nutpods will launch with Original and French Vanilla flavors, with Hazelnut planned for future sales. The family-owned product stands out from its competition with quality ingredients and rich taste, giving millions of people with limited diets an option that works for them. Additionally, nutpods are unsweetened across the line to allow consumers to 'create their perfect cup' with their preferred sweetener and sweetness level.

Madeline Haydon launched the company in November 2013 with a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $30,000. A Dream Big America competition and Zenith Award winner, nutpods has come a long way from the homemade concoction of almond and coconut milks that Haydon originally carried around in her purse, and she's excited to finally see her project reach fruition.

"We are so grateful to all of our supporters who have patiently been waiting for nutpods," says Haydon. "We can't wait to get nutpods onto shelves of your favorite grocery store, and with our test launch in PCC Natural Markets, we're one step closer to making that a reality."
