David Muñoz, chef and creator of Madrid’s three Michelin starred DiverXo and urban hotspot StreetXo, will bring his street-food inspired StreetXo to London – June 2014. This will be the celebrated maverick chef’s first restaurant outside of Spain and a return to London, the city that inspired his cooking style. His unique representation of street food is an evolution of his travels from the exciting London restaurant scene to South East Asia and everywhere in between. In June 2014, Muñoz will bring his unique energy back to the city where it all started.
Muñoz trained in some of London’s greatest kitchens for many years before returning to Madrid. His StreetXo restaurant is influenced of course by Spain, but encompasses so many other elements of his travels.
StreetXo’s vibrant dining energy is an extension of Munoz’s powerful upbeat approach to cooking. A groundbreaking risk taker, Muñoz is full on and knows no limits. StreetXo will be the same, open for service 14 hours each day.
The focal point of the restaurant will be the central open-kitchen with chefs front and centre, interacting one-on-one with guests, cooking and serving up food and fun. Open and airy, StreetXo will also have a large bar with an inventive cocktail selection. The energy will flow between the kitchen and bar, and food and drinks will be available throughout the venue. The menu will change often and will feature 12-14 dishes, but guests should also look out for the trolley circulating throughout the room, serving one-off creations. Muñoz and his crew will be throwing in extra surprises along the way, contributing to the street-market dynamic.
