In November 2020, we launched the TFP Foundation as a charitable embodiment of our purpose: to use food as a force for good by supporting food, health and education for children and young people.
Through the Foundation, we donate 1p in every £1 of revenue, contribute our time and expertise, create fundraising initiatives, and harness the power of thefoodpeople community to help improve food provision and food education for future generations.
Since launching, the TFP Foundation has raised over £197,000 and supported the incredible work of our charity partners, Chefs in Schools and The Food Foundation. Together, we're helping drive meaningful change in the way children experience food, both in school and beyond.
The Impact So Far
Since November 2020, thanks to the support of our community:
- £197,112 has been donated
- 1,417 e-books have been sold
- 476 schools have been reached
- 205,323 children have benefited from improved food provision and education
In 2026 alone, we've already raised £19,365 through donations and sold 115 e-books, helping us continue this important work.
Exciting Progress from Chefs in Schools
Our charity partner, Chefs in Schools, continues to transform school food culture across the UK.
Recent transformation schools include Landscore Primary in Devon and Holyhead School in Birmingham, part of the Central Regions Schools Trust, bringing fresh thinking, culinary expertise and nutritious meals to even more children.
The creativity and passion of the chefs involved is nothing short of inspiring. School kitchens are producing restaurant-quality meals, with fresh roast dinners, cornflake chicken and pulled brisket being served with pride and enthusiasm.
One standout success has been the now-famous "Hulk Cake". Chef Kelly from Worcester described it as her "new secret weapon" after seeing children who would normally avoid vegetables happily eating and enjoying it. Meanwhile, Chef Mandy successfully incorporated grated broccoli stalks and lentils into her school's meatball sauce without a single complaint from even the fussiest eaters.
Beyond the plate, chefs are helping to create lasting change within their communities. From parent cooking classes at Alexandra School in Harrow to a "Come Dine with Me" family event and teaching kitchen project at Bishop Gilpin Primary School in Wimbledon, food education is extending well beyond the school gates.
How You Can Help
The work being led by Chefs in Schools is both inspiring and essential. Every child deserves access to nutritious food and the opportunity to develop a positive relationship with what they eat.
You can help support this mission by purchasing a copy of our latest e-book, 20 Years in Food & Beverage Trends, from which £24 from every copy sold is donated to the TFP Foundation. Alternatively, you can make a direct donation and help us continue supporting the incredible work being delivered by Chefs in Schools.
