Pizza chain Franco Manca has launched a new cook at home range in the UK being sold across hundreds of supermarkets around the country. Franco Manca has licensed the development of five pizzas to Italian food manufacturers Rondanini working in partnership with Franco Manca's executive chef Alfonso Marseglia.
The brand rose to popularity after launching as a small, indie artisanal pizzeria in Brixton market in 2008, before going on to open 45 restaurants across London and a further 28 across the rest of the country.
The five new flavours in the range are Butternut Squash, Stilton & Pumpkin Seeds; Spiced Beef Meatball, Red Onion & Pecorino; Fennel Sausage, Chargrilled Red Pepper & Mozzarella; Spicy Salami, Fried Onion & Chilli-Infused Honey; Quattro Formaggi With Balsamic Glaze. Each is made with ingredients of the same quality and is inspired by the daily specials available at its restaurants.
Executive Chairman of Fulham Shore, Franco Manca's parent company, David Page, said: "After many months of careful development we are thrilled to launch our debut range of Franco Manca cook-at-home sourdough pizzas which are now available in over 500 supermarkets.
"This is a very exciting new strategic development for Franco Manca and The Fulham Shore, which complements the appeal and success of our consistently busy and growing portfolio of restaurants, and we are looking forward to seeing it develop".
