Aldi Breaks the Bottle Mould with Aluminium Wine First in the UK

Aldi has made a bold move in sustainable sipping by launching what's believed to be the UK's first own-label aluminium wine bottle available in a supermarket.

The innovative packaging is the result of a collaboration with Broadland Drinks, a UK company known for pioneering eco-friendly solutions in the drinks industry.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: "Our buying teams are constantly exploring ways to offer greater value and greener choices for our customers. Shoppers are looking for ways to make a difference, and we're proud to be leading the way with innovations like this aluminium wine bottle, building on our commitment to sustainable packaging."

Aldi's aluminium Costellore Pinot Grigio will be available in stores from 14th April, priced at £5.99.
