Craft ales, stouts, lagers ... whatever your tipple we wish you a happy International Beer Day! Aptly falling on a Friday there's a perfect excuse for a pint today if you ever needed one.
We've taken a look at who's celebrating the day this year.
Aldi has introduced a new range of fruity craft beers today, expanding its range following growing consumer demand. Tapping into the trend for fruity beers, Aldi's summer craft beer range includes strawberry lager, grapefruit IPA and a tropical New England IPA, all of which are available in store from today.
Something from further afield, there are a number of breweries delivering craft beer to your door step in India. These include Effingut - Honey Ale and India Pale Lager delivered in Mumbai and Pune; Gateway Brewing Co. with fruity IPAs in Mumbai; and Toit delivering Aam Aadmi Ale (a refreshing, mango-infused ale) and Jamun Gose (blended with Jamun, sea-salt and coriander) to residents of Bengaluru.
While elsewhere lots of local media outlets are celebrating by highlighting the vast array of local breweries that can be found across regions not just in the UK but around the world. For example, here's a celebration of Oxfordshire's independent breweries.
"International Beer Day is a global celebration of beer, taking place in pubs, breweries, and backyards all over the world. It's a day for beer lovers everywhere to raise a toast to our brewers and bartenders and rejoice in the greatness of beer!" Find out more about the celebration over on the official website here. Cheers!
