Centring on a whole roast Kalua pig with all the trimmings, Pond's head chef Byron Knight has created a one-off feast that celebrates the finest in modern Hawaiian cuisine, taking place this Sunday 4th October.
As well as the meltingly succulent smoked pork, guests can choose from smoked lamb with Hawaiian spices or Tempura Portabello mushroom on sweet potato poke, accompanied by smoked potatoes with sour cream and Masago caviar, Miso glazed carrots and garlic Bok Choy and Manapua.
With a brand new drinks offering from Pond's newest bar residency, The Manhattans Project and a Hawaiian festive atmosphere the Luau is perfect for a Sunday with a difference.
The Manhattans Project, one of London's most exciting East London bar concepts launched its new residency at New Hawaiian Cuisine POND Dalston on Friday 4th September 2015. Serving up 'classic cocktails, done right', The Manhattans Project's new menu features timeless recipes that have been tweaked with contemporary spirits, seasonal ingredients, a touch of humour and a nod to tradition.
POND, the Hawaiian restaurant and bar situated in the heart of Dalston, offers Londoners an original and authentic menu that showcases premium cooking and ingredients. This relatively unknown style of food is both bold and exciting and encompasses Asian cooking techniques taken from the cultures of the Pacific Rim and further afield.
The Luau will run from 12pm - 8pm. Priced at £13.50, tickets, which include the full feast menu, are available to buy here: http://www.designmynight.com/london/bars/hackney/dalston-pond/sunday-lau-hog-roast
