Kate Hofman is a Founder and Chief Brand Officer at GrowUp Farms. She will be joining us in November to talk about agricultural supply chain resilience, sustainable food systems, the benefits and technological advancements of indoor vertical growing.
Currently, transporting, refrigerating, and storing food accounts for around 30% of greenhouse gas emissions, 70% of freshwater use, and almost 50% of all available land on earth. GrowUp Farms uses urban farming techniques to reduce distances that food travels between farm and fork.
