High street Asian-inspired food-to-go chain Itsu has debuted its drinks range into the grocery category, launching in Waitrose this month. Whilst elsewhere on the high street, Starbucks has updated its drinks range.
Itsu's Zen'water range has already proved popular in stores with its zero calorie, zero sugar, naturally flavoured sparkling waters. Four flavours launched in Waitrose stores on 1st May, Lemon & Yuzu; Peach & Lychee; Cucumber & Mint; Ginger & Lime.
Coffee chain Starbucks has unveiled a new line of drinks in the UK in time for summer, with five new items and the return of a former favourite, Mango Dragonfruit Refresha.
The new range features three iced Crème Brulée drinks - Crème Brulée x Cold Brew, Crème Brulée x Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso, and Crème Brulée x Brown Sugar Frappuccino. With the trend for Crème Brulée being one that we identified back ion 2022, flagged as one to watch on trendhub.
The Crème Brulée x Cold Brew features Starbuck's signature cold brew with vanilla syrup, Crème Brulée Cream Cold Foam and is finished with coffee grounds. The Crème Brulée x Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso has an espresso base which is shaken with brown sugar syrup and ice. It's also topped with the Crème Brulée Cold Foam and coffee grounds. Finally, the Crème Brulée x Brown Sugar Frappuccino takes a brown sugar and coffee Frappuccino mix topped with Crème Brulée Cold Foam.
Alongside this Crème Brulée cold coffee range are two brand new Refresha drinks. The first, Dragon Coconut Refresha, features mixed mango and dragonfruit shaken by hand with a coconut drink, ice and dried dragonfruit. Next up is the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresha, fruit juice and whole blackcurrants shaken with ice for another fruity refreshing summer kick. The Refresha range is completed by the return of the Mango Dragonfruit Refresha.
These latest additions at the global coffee chain follow its recent launch of the Iced Strawberry Matcha Tea Latte back in March for the start of spring.
