Dip it, pour it, dunk it, douse it… That's right folk, good ol' gravy is having a moment!

Driven by wider comfort and nostalgia trends, the ultimate British institution has a new lease on life – and we're not just talking Sunday roast, folks. Gravy is being amped up and reimagined in all manner of new, exciting and sometimes viral ways.

Sometimes it's about gourmet touches and ingredient twists. Think peri peri seasoning, Guinness, spam or even pickle juice added to gravy to take flavour levels of a classic gravy up a notch. And in terms of what to put it on? Anything from pork ribs to poutine, of course.

Then again if you're feeling more adventurous about your pairings… Gravy applications are being thoroughly redefined, as the good stuff is poured over deep dish pizza, morning fry ups, waffles. And French dip twists also get their time to shine, as gravy pots are used to dunk everything from cheeseburgers to chip butties. And of course, who could forget the viral Greggs x KFC collab – aka sausage rolls and chicken gravy. We'll take a bucket, please!
