QSR chain KFC is set to open a friend chicken hotel in Shoreditch, London, this month for a limited time only with all proceeds going to the KFC Foundation. The one-of-a-kind venue is to be called House of Harland after KFC's brand mascot, Colonel Harland David Sanders and will be open for 11 days from 18th August.
The iconic one night stay will see guests picked up from London's Kings Cross station in a Black Cadillac, the "Colonelmobile", before being taken to the hotel where they're greeted by the "Chick-In" clerk. Each room is heavily chicken-themed while other unique touches include a private cinema room, 'Press For Chicken' buttons and Hot Winger Arcade Machine too.
All proceeds from the rooms during this limited time only availability will go to the KFC Foundation. The Foundation's website says: "The aim of the KFC Foundation is to support grass roots organisations that empower young people across the UK. Organisations that help them to fulfil their potential, and build a positive future. Organisations that provide spaces for young people to feel safe and secure, enable them to unlock talent, build life skills and improve their chances to gain meaningful employment."
