One of the latest major players to adapt to the ever-more health-conscious consumer, QSR chicken chain KFC is this June trialling a chicken-alternative on its menu in the UK.
Following the success of plant-based chicken restaurants such as Temple of Seitan, KFC is set to launch its meat-free option which will carry the same flavour and spices that make the iconic KFC taste. It forms part of the chain's long-term goal to cut calories per serving in the UK by 20% over the next 7 years.
