Kiss The Ground

Netflix released the documentary film Kiss The Ground during lockdown and a surge of interest has helped to bring greater awareness to the campaign for improving soil quality.

Narrated by Woody Harrelson, the award winning film follows the 2017 book of the same name written by Josh Tickell, investigating how soil regeneration can play a great role in battling the effects and causes of climate change.

What has helped this film strike a chord with so many viewers is the immediate possibility of being able to contribute to the change, either through direct agricultural action or informed purchasing, opening it up to a huge number of people on a global scale.

With many key industries such as fashion being placed under the microscope in recent years, having to face its own sustainability issues, Kiss The Ground puts forth the reality of how farming is contributing to these existential issues, yet also provides potential solutions to begin progressing in the right direction with a united effort.
