Renowned global selection of the world's best restaurants and hotels, LA LISTE has unveiled the top 1000 restaurants for 2024 with 7 spots sharing top honours.
Simon Rogan's Cumbrian restaurant L'Enclume topped the list alongside Japan's Sushi Saito, New York's three Michelin starred Le Bernadin, Germany's renowned Schwarzwalstube restaurant and two French restaurants - Guy Savoy in Paris and La Vague D'Or - Le Cheval Blanc in Saint-Tropez.
LA LISTE utilises a comprehensive ranking system pulling in multiple data points and reviews, including aggregating reviews from more than 1,000 guidebooks and trusted publications around the world, paired with a standardised ranking of the guidebooks following external opinions from respected chefs. Layered on top of this is an integration of online customer reviews to create a layered approach to ranking restaurants out of 100%.
In total for 2024's list, 78 UK restaurants made the cut, including highly ranked named Core by Clare Smyth, Le Manoir, Moor Hall, aux Quat' Saisons and Ynyshir.
Of the 24 restaurants scoring 99% or more - with the leading seven all on 99.5 - there were seven from France plus one from Monaco, three from Germany, two each from Japan, the United States, Italy and Spain, then one each from the UK, Switzerland and Sweden.
