Melbourne is set to welcome its first major low- and no-booze drinks festival in February next year - Picolo, set to transform Port Melbourne's Timber Yard into a hangover-free party. Following an increasing trend towards low and no alcohol drinks, the new festival is set to spotlight all the latest beverages in this category to make a name for themselves on Australia and New Zealand's 'no-low' drinks scene; from craft beer and wines, to spirit creations and alcohol-free cocktails.
As well as being able to purchase drinks from the range of exhibitors at the festival on 11th February, guests will also have the opportunity to sip their way through up to 30 different producers across two sessions on the day.n Amongst the names already confirmed are Banks Botanicals, Better Beer, Brick Lane Brewing, Four Pillars, Giesen, Heaps, Lyres, NON, Normal, Sobah amongst many more.
Picølo Drinks Festival is Australia's first major lo and no alcohol drinks event where flavour and fun is foremost with innovation and quality second to none. Brought to you by REVEL (the team behind the epic MOULD - A Cheese Festival and Pinot Palooza) you'll meet first hand the movers and makers, distillers, brewers and more – all working towards a common goal; to create delicious drinks that just happen to have no, or lo, alcohol.
It's about celebrating another choice. About experiencing genuinely great times with a focus on all the good things; surprising, delighting and entertaining (with less booze).
Also taking place at the festival will be a live cocktail making competition in which will see mixologists from some of Melbourne's most popular cocktail bars go head-to-head before being scored by a panel of judges. All-in-all there's an action packed day of all things low- and no-alcohol planned.
