Marmite-flavoured crisps? Tayto Group, the largest British-owned crisp and snack manufacturer, has partnered up with the popular yeast spread to launch a new flavour snack on UK shelves.
This new snacking innovation comes not long after Walkers confirmed the axing of its own Marmite flavoured crisps. The newest version will roll out in stores from 12th February, packed in recognisable bags which feature the spread's all-black branding and the signature Marmite logo.
Tayto Group is the largest British-owned crisp and snack manufacturer, producing over five million packs a day across our five UK sites including our original factory at Tandragee Castle in the rolling hills of Northern Ireland. Whilst Marmite is part of the expansive Unilever brand portfolio.
Unilever Licensing Manager, Jolanda Wells commented on the new product launch: "Marmite crisps are a firm favourite with Marmite lovers, but they are also great for the 'first-timers' who are a bit unsure whether they want to buy a jar of the black stuff or not. We expect new products and new flavours, like cheese, to drive trial with new shoppers and therefore also drive category growth."
