New Australian Budget Airline To Feature All-Australian In-Flight Menu

Australia's newest budget airline Bonza, set to launch with 27 routes between 17 destinations around the country, is to feature an all Australian in-flight menu across both food and beverage.

The dates of Bonza's first flight are yet to be confirmed, but what's signed off already is that both food and drink menus will feature items from Australian producers, covering over 40 products. The menus will feature items like a 'snag in a bag', banana bread waffles, fava beans from Happy Snack Company and Mildura Chocolate Company's giant chocolate freckles.

As expected, there will be vegan and vegetarian options too with sandwiches, brownies, Chappy's Snacks chips and AmazeBalls Popped Cheese from Ashgrove Cheese.

To wash this all down will be a range of craft beers too from brands including Your Mates Brewing Co, Ballistic Beer Co and Spinifex Brewing Company. Sirromet Wineshave the red, white, rose and sparkling covered while Sunshie & Sons provide the spirits. There's also a no-alcohol option from Heaps Normal Quiet XPA

"Our all Aussie menu is something we are very proud of. Going all Aussie means we are supporting local businesses and their suppliers. It also means we are helping SMEs get exposure to new markets as the entire menu will be offered on all of our 27 routes," explained Chief commercial officer at Bonza, Carly Povey.
