2015 and going into 2016 is a momentous year for thefoodpeople. Nearly 10 years ago on the 20 September 2005 thefoodpeople was registered and Charles, Wayne and Sarah set out on a food trend quest which has, 10 years later, brought them to the forefront of global food and drinks trends.

Since then thefoodpeople have gone from strength to strength, so much so that they have exciting developments to tell you of in their tenth celebratory year.

Neil Moodley has joined thefoodpeople as Head of Bespoke Trends Reporting, taking a very detailed and focused deep dive into whatever aspect of food and drink you need unearthing. Joining this team from April will be Charlotte Jeune, both come from business backgrounds in food trends and both also take personal delight in food and cooking.

Also strengthening our team is Tom Copeland as Food Trends Analyst. Tom is heading up our new product menuwatching, which takes Big Food Data collected from thousands of foodservice menus across the globe to power meaningful analytical insights based on menu trends. The power of the information is staggering ….. so, form an orderly queue!

foodwatching has now been joined by drinkswatching – first edition will be out on the 13 April 2015, and also joining the subscription ranks is foodwatching Australia & Asia which was born in January of this year to coincide with the appointment of Amanda Sankey as Head of Market for the Australasia region.

As if all this wasn't enough thefoodpeople are also proud to introduce their new website - now optimised for mobile devices, lots of sample content, 2015 food trends event film as well as giving you all the information that you need about the whole range of thefoodpeople services from food, menu and drinks trends to ideation and food safari – enjoy your new website experience.
