NPD in the Snack Bar Category From Kind and Pip & Nut

We've seen some moves in the Snack Bar category of late with UK brand Pip & Nut has entering the category whilst Kind Snacks has launched six new savoury and sweet bars.

First up, nut butter brand Pip & Nut's new range of peanut butter-stuffed oat bars made a splash in the UK earlier this month with the introduction of three flavours - original, chocolate, and apple and cinnamon. Each variety is made using wholegrain regeneratively farmed British oats, paired with Pip & Nut's peanut butter and with 100% vegan and natural ingredients.

Pip & Nut's Founder, Pippa Murray commented: "This range was inspired by our community of fans and their love of peanut butter on oats for breakfast. It's such a popular combination for a reason – it tastes great and is really satisfying – however we didn't feel like there was an on-the-go option on the market that matched up when it came to flavour or nutritional credentials."

Already an established brand in the category, Kind has launched three new sweet and three new savoury on-the-go snack bars in the United States. The savoury flavours feature Paprika Nuts & Mesquite Smoked Sea Salt, Roasted Nuts & Jalapeno and Rosemary Nuts & Sea Salt, all made using a blend of nuts paired with smoky and spicy ingredients and flavours. The sweet additions use a mix of pumpkin and sunflower seeds together with fruit, in the following flavours - Strawberry Sunflower Seed, Orange Cranberry Pumpkin Seed and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Pumpkin Seed.
