Pan-African Restaurant Tatale Opens in London's Africa Centre

Popular London supper club chef Akwasi Brenya-Mensa is preparing to open his first permanent restaurant, Tatale which is to take its place in The Africa Centre in Southwark, London.

Tatale inherits its name from a popular Ghanaian dish, the plantain pancake and its menu will be focused around Pan-African cuisine, with an exciting range of dishes that all take influence from across the continent with Ghanaian references and informed by Akwasi's own culinary experiences and techniques.

Dishes include:
- Omo Tuo Nkatekwan Sesame - mashed rice with groundnut, peanut soup
- Tatale's Signature Chicken Burger 2.0 with buttermilk fried chicken topped with shito chilli, citrus yoghurt, basil oil
- Plantain Cheesecake

The restaurant is set to open in January 2022 and is set to tell its contemporary Pan-African stories not just through food, but through art and culture too in what is set to be a vibrant and exciting new venue. Stay updated via Tatale's Instagram here or visit the website here.
