As fashion giant Dolce & Gabbana launch a collaboration with Italian pasta brand Di Martino, we recognise once again the trend for big brands 'Breaking the Mould', identified in our recent July to September quarterly report.
Bags of spaghetti, paccheri, penne mezzani rigate, and mista corta can now be bought adorned with the exquisite designs of famous Italian landmarks like the Milan Duomo, a Venice canal, the Colosseum, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. These are paired with the image of a happily enjoying pasta together - representing both parties' values of family and love.
If you want to get your hands on some of the products you need to be quick as there are only 5,000 tins available, and only 1,000 of them in the United States. Each tin costs 95€, or around $110.
