Pink Prosecco - drinkswatching

It seems that consumers just can't get enough of pink drinks at the moment. Rose-coloured beer, port, gin and Frosé have all been super hot trends, but hold onto your wine glasses, the blushing movement has just crashed headlong into another titanic drink trend - prosecco. Yes, folks, the party goer's favourite fizz has put on its glad rags and now comes dressed from head to toe in pink.

In The Pink

Now, to be honest, this trend was waiting in the wings ever since the Prosecco powers allowed Italian winemakers to add a percentage of the red Pinto Noir grape to their blends. This has allowed winemakers to produce a rosé version of this fizzy wine - and if the number of pre-Christmas launches by UK supermarket are anything to go by, it could the perfect celebration drink to cheer us up this winter.

Fuchsia Fun

As we approach festive season there are plenty of supermarket choices if you want to get your hands on a bit of Pink Prosecco. Just like the rosé trend, pink prosecco shouts fun, fun, fun - all at a very accessible price and approachable flavour profile. Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Lidl are just a few of the major supermarkets ensuring that nobody needs to miss out on a glass of pink bubbles this Christmas.
