Starting the week with some QSR NPD from Greggs, with a new fish finger sandwich, and McDonald's which makes another change to its Happy Meal with four new options on the menu.
British high street bakery chain Greggs is introducing its first ever fish finger sandwich at a select 10 stores across the UK. The sandwiches are made up of battered cod fillet fish fingers with iceberg lettuce in a soft corn-topped roll.
Customers can also choose the new Fish Finger Wrap, featuring cod fish fingers with mixed leaves, cucumber and mayo for a slight twist on the classic.
Global QSR leader McDonald's recently removed the smiles from its Happy Meal boxes as part of a Mental Health Awareness Week campaign to show kids that it's OK to not always be happy. And the chain has now made another change to the kid's classic meal in the UK with the addition of four new options to the meal.
Children can now also choose between a Mayo Chicken in their meal or Fish Bites - bite-sized pollock pieces in a crisp panko breadcrumb. Then for afters, the little ones can now also choose a carton of flavoured milk in either chocolate, strawberry or banana, or go for a new icy treat called the McFreezy, a frozen fruit juice and puree dessert in either orange, or mango and pineapple.
