US Seafood Chain Captain D's, the 'McDonald's of the Sea,' is Coming to the UK
Captain D's is making its UK debut with its first location opening in Kent this August.
The menu will feature fish sandwiches, along with sides like corn on the cob, baked potatoes, green beans, and fried okra.
As part of a 20-unit agreement with CD's Holdings, Captain D's plans to expand to Sussex and Hampshire later this year.
Speaking about the launch, Naveed Chattha, Operations Director of CD's Holdings, said: "We have been looking for the right brand to introduce to the UK market, which is exciting and healthy. There is a large fish and chips market in the UK, but no one has tried to apply discipline, standards, and quality to such a level here before. With our experience, we feel Captain D's is the right choice."

Exclusive 6,000-Unit Run of Lidl's Dubai-Style Chocolate Bars Now Available on TikTok Shop
Lidl is launching its second sale on TikTok Shop with its own version of the viral pistachio-filled chocolate treat.
A limited batch of 6,000 Lidl Dubai-Style Chocolate bars will be available on the supermarket's TikTok Shop from 9am on March 20, priced at £3.99 plus £1 postage.
The Dubai Chocolate has sparked over 300,000 posts on TikTok, with videos of people enjoying the treat racking up millions of likes. Lidl says TikTok users can get an "exclusive first taste" of its Dubai-Style Chocolate bars in this second sale, which it anticipates will be even more popular than the first. The bars are not yet available in Lidl stores, making the TikTok sale the only place to get them for now.

Heineken Opens First Global AI Lab in Singapore to Develop Scalable GenAI Solutions
Heineken has announced the launch of its first global generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) lab, which will be based in Singapore.
The initiative, a result of a partnership with AI Singapore, aims to drive growth, enhance productivity, and improve customer engagement across Heineken's global operations.
Speaking about the launch, Heineken's Asia-Pacific Managing Director Kenneth Choo explained that the lab serves as a "global centre of expertise" to not only to enhance and grow AI innovation in Singapore and across Asia, but also to have a halo effect upon all global operations for the brewing giant.
Choo explained: " By harnessing Singapore's exceptional AI ecosystem, skilled talent and supportive government policies, we are excited to drive the development of innovative solutions that will transform the beverage industry for years to come."
