Seasonal Summer - Some of the Ingredients We're Seeing

We've been out and about recently looking for evidence of this summer's seasonal ingredients on restaurant menus, and here are a few of the hot summer trends that we've been seeing recurring:

Asparagus

Peas, including a Pea Gazpacho from Lyle's in London

Artichoke

Elderflower, which featured at The Clove Club - Flamed Cornish Mackerel Sashimi, English Mustard, Cucumber & Elderflower

Fennel

Gooseberry, also featured at Lyle's - Gooseberry Sherbet & Sheep's Yoghurt Fool

Wild Garlic

Sorrel

Strawberries, featuring across the capital with the Wimbledon tennis tournament leading the charge, as well as another feature from The Clove Club - Wind Fennel Granita, Ewe's Milk Mousse & Strawberries.
