Popular Asian food specialists Sharwood's has branched out from its usual traditional curry sauce range with the addition of a new Street Food Sizzler range, capturing four vibrant Indian flavours of India.
The new Street Food Sizzler range aims to shift consumer perceptions of Indian meals, with research showing that 22% of consumers only opt for Indian food at the weekend. It consists of meals kits, sauces, and roti wraps. The meal kits include Masala Tikka Sizzler, Shashlik Tikka Sizzler, Spicy Tikka Sizzler, Tandoori Tikka Sizzler flavours.
"We know consumers want to recreate the street food meals they're eating when out and about, but currently there is little choice on shelf beyond more traditional options," Andrey Sokirkin, global marketing director of cooking sauces at Premier Foods, commented. The new range is now available exclusively from Tesco stores nationwide before being rolled out in further retail channels in 2025.
