This year, with a combination of travel restrictions and less of a desire to travel internationally amongst the public we've seen the rise of the staycation and with this, staycation hampers too.
We recently covered what's been trending in hampers recently, with an eye on the staycation, over in a recent foodwatching report on the Trendhub for subscribers only. We've recapped some of the key highlights from what we've tracked below.
Mealtime
Not all hampers are full of wine, cheese and crackers as full mealtime solutions have become popular with hampers containing everything that you need for holiday eating. A great example of this is Forman & Field's Ultimate Staycation Hamper - smoked salmon and herby cream cheese bagels, homemade chicken sausages, sole goujons with lemon, capers, parsley and olive oil; potato latkes; field mushroom and tarragon pate; award-winning English cheeses with chutney, seeded crackers, lemon and pistachio cake; homemade cheese straws, mixed spicy nuts, chorizo sticks, rose and white wine.
Lux to your Door
To fulfil the desire of travelling to a new place on holiday in order to try new food and drinks, many companies have put together specially curated hampers containing some of the very best produce the UK has to offer. For example The Wolseley's Summer Hamper - Pommery champagne, preserves, mint tea, a selection of confectionary and The Wolseley collection apron too.
Other noticeable hamper trends include those covering all your dining needs across breakfast,. lunch and dinner all in one go; BBQ packs perfect for those summery days and evenings, and more. Read the full foodwatching report on Staycation Hampers over on Trendhub here.
