Sustainable Microfarms introduces innovative new technology

Sustainable Microfarms, Inc. (SMF) has developed new technology to ignite the growing industry and help farmers, big and small, grow their product more quickly, with less effort, and at a considerable financial gain. From greenhouses in the desert to vertical farms located near dense urban centres, SMF not only affects how, but also where we can grow food. With the shortening of food supply chains, these technological advances in hydroponic farming will reduce spoilage, time to consumer, transportation costs, and oil consumption.

Sustainable Microfarms created their flagship product - the Genesis dosing controller - to fulfill the vision of a de-centralized urban culture, by allowing residential and industrial purpose growers to have all-in-one self-sustaining gardens. The Genesis monitors plant life and growth, dosing the garden with nutrients, water, and pH solutions (customizable by the grower), using 90% less water and 70% fewer nutrients, while generating 10 times the output, of manual farming techniques. Comparable systems cost 4-5 times as much as the Genesis, making this type of system inaccessible to most.

Looking ahead, Sustainable Microfarms founders envision this game-changing technology as a way to eradicate food scarcity in arid countries that lack potable water. Many currently import much of their food supply and suffer in times of drought and war.

To promote awareness of these scarcity issues worldwide, and speed production of the initial line, SMF launched a Kickstarter campaign. Those interested can visit www.kickstarter.com and search "Sustainable Microfarms". Through the Genesis dosing controller, numbers pumpbox, and many more upcoming microfarms products, Sustainable Microfarms will fuel a new generation of food, farmers, and healthy growing for all.

About Sustainable Microfarms

Sustainable Microfarms, Inc. develops innovative technologies that stimulate economic growing practices and enable new business models for growers, distributors and retailers alike. Using hydroponics because of the reduced water usage, increased yields, shorter growing cycles, less required acreage and a natural protection from the environmental risks that plague traditional outdoor farms, SMF aims to de-centralize the urban farming scene. SMF's original dosing control systems automate and regulate nutrients, water, pH, and track key environmental factors to maintain the healthiest plants possible.SMF also offers integrated grow systems that provide out-of-the-box solutions for personal and professional growers. www.smicrofarms.com
