Following the sell out success of the Bayou Banquet, London's New Orleans style pop-up is back as Slap Ya Papa returns to London to celebrate Thanksgiving Louisiana style, at Styx in North London. With seasonal cocktails flowing, and the best Dixieland music this side of the Mississippi, these thankful feasts will make even the grumpiest of scrooges feel full of festive excitement.
Designed by Michelin trained chefs, guests will be treated to a sumptuous menu inspired by Thanksgiving in New Orleans. With over 10 dishes laid out on the feasting table, guests should be prepared to Eat Big: big dishes, big flavours and big ingredients. Guests can expect to indulge in truffled brussel sprouts, squash casserole, candied yams, deep fried turkey and more, all the while listening to a special line up of jazz, soul, and blues live band performances.
STYX is an events space in North London curated by RIFT. They have hosted performances and residencies by LIFT, The Royal Court, Belarus Free Theatre, Four Tet, Gilles Peterson and many more.
With the spirit of Thanksgiving in minds and hearts, the Slap Ya Papa team are starting off the celebration by giving 50% of profits from dinner on the 26th November to Praxis, a charity which works to support migrants and homeless people in London.

Thanksgiving is a tradition rooted in giving thanks for the things you are grateful for. In light of this goodwill festival, Slap Ya Papa are pulling out all the stops, designing a 10 course feast around traditional New Orleans dishes and flavours, and curating an extra special line up of their favourite jazz, soul and blues bands.

The celebration will conclude with a lunchtime shindig Crescent City style. The Slap Ya Papa team will be toasting the weekend away with a festive feast on Sunday, complete with soul-soothing live blues.
