It's hard to say goodbye, even if it is temporary. In anticipation of its six-month relocation to Melbourne, Australia in 2015, the three Michelin starred The Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire has added additional lunch services. Still taking guests on its multisensory gastronomic journey from Tuesday to Saturday until the end of November, the award-winning restaurant will now open for expanded hours in December. The Fat Duck will be open for lunch on Sundays 7th, 14th and 21st December. These additional dates have been released and are now open for booking.
Lunch on Sunday 21st December will be the last service at The Fat Duck in Bray for the better part of a year. Heston will close the doors of his renowned restaurant and seamlessly re-open them on 3rd February 2015 in the Crown Tower Resorts in Melbourne.
The iconic restaurant will celebrate its milestone 20th anniversary in August 2015 with the whole team together in Melbourne. The restaurant in Bray – a Grade II listed building built in 1640 – will undergo a renovation and modernisation. In September of 2015, The Fat Duck will return home, reopening with a new kitchen in its original idyllic Bray location.
