Heston Blumenthal's well-known three-Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck has introduced a cut price tasting menu this January and February, at nearly 50% less than the main version which ranges from £295 to £395.
The new Sensorium Select menu will set you back £225 per person, still featuring some of The Fat Duck's famous dishes, including Sound of the Sea, Aerated Beetroot, as well as a the 'Like a Kid in a Sweet Shop' dessert trolley.
The limited time Sensorium Select menu is described on The Fat Duck's website, saying: For a short period, we are offering an alternative, shorter menu – the Sensorium Select – giving the opportunity to experience a specially curated series of dishes that capture the creative core of the Sensorium menu – what you might call a taster of the tasting menu.
A simple, intense way of exploring exactly what The Fat Duck is all about.
The Fat Duck is well known for its original tasting menu and dishes within which include nitro-scrambled egg and bacon ice cream, mock turtle soup and others. Having opened back in 1995, the restaurant didn't take long before it earned its first Michelin star in 1999. A second followed just two years later, in 2001, before it then received its third in 2004, the same year it finished runner up in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list.
