Fans of the humble scotch egg, rejoice. London's Scotch Egg Challenge returns this Monday for its 10th anniversary. The event takes place at The Guinea 23 in Mayfair with an exciting list of competing chefs and judges too.
Usually an annual affair, the popular event has been on hiatus during the pandemic but welcomes fans back in 2022 to try the creations by some of the country's finest cooks - "Expect sumptuous takes on the traditional, as well as some slightly quirky and off the wall interpretations of the egg."
Confirmed competitors include Masterchef's Sally Abe and Natalie Coleman head chef at Oyster Shed, acclaimed author and restaurateur Ben Tish, award-winning chef at the French House Soho Neil Borthwick, Britain's most famous pie maker Calum Franklin and Jamie Shears, who is about to start at hotly anticipated new Mayfair pub the Audley, along with Matt Sullivan group executive chef on Young's Pubs & Hotels.
