Heading to the popular Oxford Circus area in central London, the new Market Halls West End is set to become the UK's largest food hall when it opens later this summer, after its confirmation this April.
The emergence of Food Halls is something that we've been tracking and following with interest for the past few years now as they continue to play an increasingly important role in the food and beverage scene. And following the opening of the large-scale Market Hall food court in Fulham and then Market Hall Victoria last year, the West End site is set to be the owners' "most ambitious site yet".
Moving into the former BHS department store, the site will cover 37,500 square foot over three floors, with over 800 covers." The food hall will feature 12 independent food vendors, four bars, a children's play area, an events space, and demo kitchen - and a large retractable roof to boot.
As yet the organisers are keeping quiet on which food vendors will be taking space in the Market Halls, but we can lively see a return of some of London's favourites such as Breddo's, Super Tacos, Monty's or Bun Shop.
