Introducing our next speaker for our 11th Annual Food & Beverage Trend Summit - James Toop, Chief Executive of Bite Back 2030, a youth-led movement working towards a healthy, sustainable and fair food system.
Launched in 2019 with Co-Founder Jamie Oliver, Bite Back has trained 100 Youth Board and alumni aged 14-21 who have put the voice of young people at the heart of the public and policy debate for healthier food environments. They are now partnering with UNICEF to train youth advocates in 5 countries.
Prior to Bite Back, James spent a decade as Chief Executive of Ambition Institute, a leading teaching and leadership development charity in education working across 2,000 schools in disadvantaged areas. James was a teacher in the inaugural cohort of Teach First and is Chair of the Board of Trustees at a Multi Academy Trust in South East London and Kent. He was a member of the Rockefeller-Acumen Food Systems Fellowship in 2022.
James will be discussing the topic of creating demand for healthy sustainable diets, why they're important and for who, the role of policy and how we educate consumers and create demand.
