Fry Family Foods, a manufacturer of vegan meat substitutes headquartered in South Africa, has launched what it claims as the 'first-ever' shapeable plant-based mince in the UK. The new Shape & Sizzle Mince launched in Tesco stores nationwide this September.
The product is designed to allow home chefs to create meat-free versions of favourite foods such as burgers, koftas and meatballs, without compromising on texture of flavour, thanks to improved malleability of the mince.
Emma Herring, Fry's Head of Marketing, said of the new product launch: "We believe our Shape & Sizzle Mince is the first ever shapeable plant-based mince in UK supermarkets.
"We really hope that this will encourage families up and down the country to try plant-based for the first time or swap out a few more meals, using Fry's plant-based Shape & Sizzle Mince."
