The TFP Foundation

In November 2020 we launched the TFP Foundation as a charitable embodiment of our purpose - to use food as a force for good by supporting food, health and education in children and young people.

Through the TFP Foundation we donate 1p in every £1 of revenue, we give content, time and run specific fund raising projects, as well as bringing the power of thefoodpeople community, to ensure that we shift food provision and food education for future generations by partnering with aligned charities.

Since launch we've donated over £97,000 to our fantastic partner charities Chefs in Schools and The Food Foundation who are both working tirelessly to step change food, health and education for our future generations.

So join with us and support the incredible and very necessary work that Chefs in Schools are leading by buying a copy of our latest e-book - 18 Years In Food & Beverage Trends, where £24 is donated from every copy sold or donating here!

18 Years in Trends e-Book

Support the TFP Foundation

2006 – 2023: what events, people, culture, regulations, technologies and products defined these years, what were the changes and what does it mean for the future?

This e-book covers it all. We summarise the key take outs and learnings, and influences for the future. Using our unique trend archives, we also map the finer detail of the food and drink timeline from 2006 to 2023 – key products, services, restaurants, chefs, flavours, ingredients, colours, global events, diets, tech, politics, awards… and much more! From information gathered over the last 18 years, we can see that there have been seismic changes in how we produce, purchase, and consume food & drink. With the world more connected than at any other time in history, the changes of the next 18 years will be ever more bold and swift.

From the purchase of this e-book, the TFP Foundation will be donating £24.00 directly to Chefs in Schools

HAF 2021 - Film

The Food Foundation & Marcus Rashford MBE

In 2021 we were delighted to support The Food Foundation and Marcus Rashford MBE to promote the awareness of the the Holiday Activity and Food Programme.

Launched in summer 2021, we partnered with Marcus Rashford MBE and The Food Foundation to support the fight to alleviate child food poverty by producing a film. The aim of the film was to raise awareness, take up and put pressure on government to extend funding beyond Christmas 2021 for the Holiday Activity and Food Programme which runs in school holidays for all children who get free school meals. For many families school holidays are a tough time when children miss out not on structured learning activities but also what is often their main hot meal of the day. And what a result! In the last budget (Oct 2021) the chancellor announced and committed to allocate £200m annually to continue the Holiday Activity and Food Programme a key initiative to support and end child food poverty.

Chefs in Schools

Improving the health of children through better school food & education.

We believe that school food is vitally important to a child's education. Our mission is to encourage and enable schools across the country to serve great, creative school food - that doesn't just fill young people up, but feeds their imagination too. We also believe that teaching the next generation how to cook and enjoy real food is crucial for their long-term physical and mental health.

Children growing up in areas with the highest levels of socio-economic deprivation are twice as likely to leave primary school obese, with a life-long health consequences of an unhealthy relationship with food. We focus our work primarily in these areas, because we believe every child deserves the right to access, enjoy and learn about good, nutritious food.
