More Celebrities and Their Booze Brands

This August, we've seen a new wave of celebrities and their alcohol brand endorsements or new openings. We take a look at two of the biggest names of late - Jeremy Clarkson and Beyoncé.

Already having made further renewed celebrity fame through his Amazon TV series Clarkson's Farm, the television show host has opened The Farmer's Dog pub in Burford, Cotswolds. Having had plans scuppered for his Farm Shop, Clarkson has gone big on local at his new public house selling his own beer along with a menu that focuses on using British produce, a lot of which is said to be from his own farm too.

Taking of his new local, Clarkson said: "In the corner there will be a table with my name on it. A place where I can go on a Sunday with my granddaughter for some gammon, egg and chips. Well-priced, British-grown food with a pint of Hawkstone beer (that's the beer he makes). And a warm fuzzy feeling inside."

In drinks news, global music artist Beyoncé has partnered up with Moët Hennessy to launch SirDavis, an American whiskey with Japanese influence. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has joined forces with the subsidiary of LVMH, to create SirDavis, a first-of-its-kind joint venture reflecting a shared vision between the two parties.

"I've always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling," says SirDavis Founder Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. "When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy. In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis."

This unique product was years in the making after Knowles-Carter, a Japanese whisky enthusiast, sought out Moët Hennessy to help craft a one-of-a-kind flavor profile that reflected her whisky ideal.
