We're delighted to announce that thefoodpeople has become an employee-owned business.
On 19th September 2025, we completed the transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) - meaning that 100% of the company is now held in trust on behalf of our people.
This milestone comes as we celebrate 20 years of working alongside the global food & drink community. From day one, our purpose has been clear: to champion change through trends and foresight, while building a values-driven business rooted in passion, curiosity, and collaboration.
Employee ownership is a natural evolution of that purpose. It ensures:
- Continuity – the same team, values, and vision our clients know and trust.
- Legacy – safeguarding our culture and independence for the long term.
- Shared Success – recognising that when we succeed, we succeed together.
Our founders - Charles, Sarah and Wayne - remain actively involved in the business in the medium term, guiding thefoodpeople into this exciting new chapter.
For our clients and partners, nothing changes: same people, same relationships, same commitment. But now, with the added energy and resilience that comes from being employee-owned.
